On November 21, a group of individuals interested in agricultural and food policy gathered at the King Tower Cafe to share their opinions with the Iowa Farmers Union. Issues discussed included the importance of farmers working together to make policy changes at the state and federal level, the barriers to young farmers entering farming, and the influences that have led to the agriculture we have today. This gathering was one of ten meetings that the Iowa Farmers Union is holding around the state to gather input into legislative priorities as well as other operations of the Iowa Farmers Union.
