Please join the Iowa Farmers Union & the Center for Rural Affairs for an important community discussion of farm and food policy in Iowa.

WHEN: Sunday, August 28, 1:30PM-3:30PM

WHERE: Coralville Public Library

Our discussion will feature:

  • Update from IFU President Jana Linderman on federal policy issues, including Farm Bill spending, the organic checkoff & checkoff reform, food labeling, trade, the RFS, and industry consolidation & market competition
  • Farm Bill listening session to gather your input and ideas on what is (or isn't) working in the current Farm Bill and what should be included in the next Farm Bill
  • Candidate Q&A; we have invited the U.S. Senate candidates and candidates for the 1st & 2nd Congressional Districts to answer questions on farm and food policy

We will have pie from Kathy's Pies in Cedar Rapids, coffee, and other refreshments to help fuel our discussion.

This event is free and open to the public.
