Join the Iowa Farmers Union & the Center for Rural Affairs for a community discussion of our farm & food policy

WHAT:  Farm Bill Listening Session

WHEN:  Sunday, August 28, 2016, 1:30PM – 3:30PM

WHERE:  Coralville Public Library, 1401 5th Street, Coralville, IA

Our discussion will include:

  • A federal policy update from IFU President Jana Linderman on Farm Bill spending, the organic checkoff & checkoff reform, food labeling, trade, the RFS, and industry consolidation & market competition
  • An interactive Farm Bill listening session to gather your input & ideas on the current Farm Bill & what you want to see included in the next Farm Bill
  • We have invited candidates for the U.S. Senate and 1st & 2nd Congressional Districts to answer your questions on farm & food policy

We will have pies from Kathy’s Pies in Cedar Rapids, coffee & other refreshments to help fuel a lively discussion!
