The Iowa Farmers Union is seeking qualified applicants for a Financial Manager
The position will provide coordinated financial management knowledge, skills, leadership and direction needed to support the programs and mission of the IFU.
Tentative start date: July 1, 2020
Responsibilities include the following:
Assisting in the preparation of financial reporting documents for the organization as a whole.
Managing financial activities related to individual programs executed for the Iowa Farmers Union and its affiliates.
Preparing financial reports for individual programs for which the Iowa Farmers Union and its affiliates have secured grant agreements and contracts.
Assisting in bookkeeping activities for the Iowa Farmers Union and its affiliates. Duties may include but are not limited to implementing systems and procedures to manage deposits from fundraising, memberships, grants, and contracts; managing grant and contract agreements; invoicing; and paying bills.
Assisting with activities at various Iowa Farmers Union events, especially the annual meeting.
Preparing reports for internal and external Iowa Farmers Union communications including an annual report.
Advising the IFU President and Board regarding financial and bookkeeping matters.
Various other tasks as assigned.
